Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group has begun works on the Dh42m ($11.43m) landscaping project in KEZAD Al Ma’mourah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This project comprises landscaping 24km of main roads and roundabouts across 288,000m² within KEZAD Al Ma’mourah.

The scope of the development also involves the planting of 350 trees of varying species along the motorways, as well as hardscaping throughout an area of 120,000m².

KEZAD will also build irrigation pumping stations and water tanks, which will be linked to its wastewater treatment facility.

The improvements are expected to enhance traffic flow, the delivery of goods, and the overall visual appearance of the area.

The project is being carried out together with the Abu Dhabi Municipality governmental body, the Integrated Transport Centre, and other corresponding government departments and local businesses.

KEZAD Group CEO Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed said: “KEZAD Group is continually looking for ways to improve the business experience of our clients and maintain Abu Dhabi’s position and the heart of regional industrial and economic development.

“As with the recently started project in KEZAD Musaffah (ICAD 1), the improvement of the road network system in KEZAD Al Ma’mourah is aimed at developing a faster and more efficiently connected economic zone, in line with the aim of our wise leadership.

“This upgrade reinforces the value proposition of KEZAD and strengthens the emirate of Abu Dhabi’s position as an advanced economic and industrial hub.”

Recently, the group announced a Dh55m infrastructure renovation in ICAD 1, spanning 40,000m² and 23km of road.

Both projects are expected to be finished by the third quarter of next year.
