COACHELLA – Crowd hand waves, smocks on white, sing-a-longs and “7-6-0” chants marked the Sonora stage here at the 23rd annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Imperial Valley-born and raised Eddie Zuko and Paul Redona performed with their fellow musicians, Richie Montes (guitar) and Johnny Franco (drums) on Sunday, April 14.

The Zuko music team performed a dozen songs on the Sonora stage of “Coachella” on Sunday, April 14 for the first weekend of the two-weekend music festival. “This feels like a hometown crowd,” Zuko said on stage, mentioning the Imperial Valley more than once, as seen in person and during the live stream of their Coachella performance.

Eddie Zuko, Redona and company will once again perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this Sunday, April 21 at the Sonora stage, starting at 6:05 p.m., Zuko told IVP.

The performance may not be streamed  live again this weekend, Zuko said, but the opening song of Zuko’s performance from April 14, “Woke Up Dis Morning” can be found on the “Coachella” channel on YouTube by searching “Eddie Zuko – Woke Up Dis Morning – Live at Coachella 2024.”

To look for the possible live stream on April 21, search “Coachella 2024: Sonora” on YouTube.
