From Architectural Blue: Architectural Blue- the leader in the design and installation of swimming pools, spas, waterscapes, custom metals, outdoor artwork and landscaping – will reveal design plans and break ground on a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose center called ‘Garden’ on Thursday, May 18th at 6 p.m. in Palm Springs.

The innovative new center will feature a retail nursery, landscaping services, outdoor showcases, demonstration gardens, a learning center, café and the new offices for Architectural Blue. The nursery will be focused on the sustainable garden with reference to drought-tolerant plants and organic planting materials and water conservation. Outdoor vignettes with a unique artists’ area will allow art vendors to showcase their art.

The Garden will support classes in growing a garden, methods of planting, pool chemistry, water conservation and lectures covering education of the outdoor environment. Demonstration design areas will feature spas, swimming pools, furniture, pots, art, water features, pavers, tile, PebbleTec finishes, sound, pool equipment and outdoor lighting.

Demonstration rooms will showcase partners such as Lighting by Landcape Illuminators, Tru Sound Audio outdoor systems, Pentair pool equipment, and Porcelanosa USA – all top performers in the industry. The café, called Quench, will offer coffee and baked goods for those visiting the garden. Garden fountains will all use recycled water.

“Garden will combine sustainable design with modern style, and will be the outdoor inspiration gallery of the desert,” said J. Matthew Naylor, founder and President/CEO of Architectural Blue. “It will be completely off the grid, with solar and other cooling methods using our natural resources, and be environmentally conscious in its design elements – such as the use of recycled shipping containers as the building structure.”

The site for the center (and groundbreaking ceremony) is 710 E Research Drive in Palm Springs. Projected completion is February 2018.

The groundbreaking event will host live music and refreshments, and is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on May 18th. The public is invited to take part in the celebration and can do so by RSVPing via email to
